Official Meetings of Intent To Form

An open meeting was held on February 25, 2000, with 27 ladies attending. The agenda included Q&A. Two additional meetings were set: March 4 for nomination of officers and collection of dues; and March 11 to elect officers with committees to be established at first Annual meeting of the second Wednesday in April.

Inception

Herons Glen Ladies 9 Hole Golf Association was officially formed on March 9, 2000; Commonly known as the “Gold Miner’s Niners.”

Initial By-Laws

The initial By-Laws were accepted and voted on in March 2000. The Association’s Objective is to promote golf and other social activities for the association members. Members are active Herons Glen golf members. Annual dues are $15 to be paid before participation in the first league play day. Annual Meeting will be the second Wednesday in May of each year. Board meetings are conducted at the discretion of the President on an as needed basis. Officers and Chairs consist of president, vice president, secretary, treasurer from annual meeting to annual meeting (May 1 through April 30) In addition to the Officers, there is a Tournament Committee, Rules Committee and Handicap Committee. The Chairs attend Board Meetings. The President cooperates with the HG management pertaining to the golf course and buildings.
